Chapter 4
How To Know What Type Dog Is Best For You
Choosing the Amount of Each Trait. Next, the Breed Selector will ask you to enter the amount you want of each trait you selected on the last screen. Choose the amount of each trait you want according to the table below: 5 - The highest possible amount of the trait 4 - An above average amount of the trait 3 - An average amount of the trait 2 - A below average amount of the trait 1 - The least possible amount of the trait The amount of each trait you want in your dog is entered using a slider. You have probably used a slider to enter a value before. Sliders usually have a sliding "pointer" you move along a range of values to choose one of the values from that range. You will be using a slider to enter the amount of each trait you want in your dog, but the slider you will be using is a little different from the standard slider. Each end of the slider you will be using moves so you can select a value with each. Move the pointer at the left end of the slider to indicate the least amount of the trait you want. Then move the right end of the pointer to show the largest amount of the trait that is acceptable to you. This way you will be able to indicate either a single value or a range of values for the amount of the trait you would like to have in a dog. For the largest number of breeds to choose from, use the widest range of values for each trait that is acceptable to you. OK, now it's time for you to use the Breed Selector Software.
